Shifts are available 7 days a week between the hours of 5:30 am and as late at 9:00 pm in the summer months. Lifeguards are able to set their availability to work one month at a time.
Applicants must be 15 years of age or older to apply. Under general supervision, performs lifeguard duties, enforces all rules and regulations pertaining to the safety and well-being of visitors and patrons. Perform other tasks as required, which includes basic cleaning of the facilities and rotations into the Front Desk to check-in all patrons.
Lifeguards must have a current certification for Lifeguarding & CPR/AED/First Aid from the American Red Cross. Those applicants without a current certification will not receive an official job offer until certifications are obtained.

DUTIES:
- Active scanning and patron surveillance, practice preventive Lifeguarding.
- Enforce all rules and regulations.
- Recognize and respond professionally to emergencies, provide care, including activating EAP.
- Perform assigned duties connected with the care and maintenance of the facility so that its kept clean and presentable.
- Engage and interact tactfully and courteously with the public.
- Ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing.
- The ability to speak English clearly.
- Fluency in Spanish welcome.
- Attend and participate in required staff training and in-service drills.
- Perform other related duties to check-in patrons on the Front Desk rotations, answer phones, open and close the office.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18 to $20 per hour
Expected Hours: 4 to 36 per week
