Tuesday 10/06 10:15am:

While power has been restored at the high school and students are back in class, the pools remain closed.  Unfortunately, the maintenance team discovered the power outage caused complications in the pump room, so we must remain closed until they get the pumps and filters operational again.

We are in communication with the Maintenance Team and they will keep us informed as to when the pools are ready to be reopened.  The pools remain closed at this time.

Monday 10/05 7:30pm:

There has been some good progress toward restoring power at the high school.  Industrial generators are now on site and power is restored to a portion of the campus.  They are working to connect the remaining generators and expect to have full power restored later this evening.  

We are in communication with the Maintenance Team and they will keep us informed as to when the pools are ready to be reopened.  The pools remain closed at this time.

Monday 10/05 10:45am:

Early Sunday morning, 10/04, the main power pole serving Sonoma Valley High School fell down, knocking out power to the entire campus.  PG&E has begun work to replace the pole and estimates that restoring permanent power could take 2-5 days.  They are bringing in industrial generators to operate the school and expect them to be in place and operational sometime today.

Once we have power at the pool, it will take some time for the pool filters to circulate the water and the chemicals to be brought to the proper levels.  

We will provide updates as we get them from the SVUSD Maintenance Team.
