April 2026
Thanks again to everyone who shared feedback. We had over 300 swimmers respond, and we heard a lot of consistent themes—both about what’s working well and where we can improve. Here are some key takeaways:
We’re proud that many of you see Sonoma Splash as an important part of the community. Some of the most common strengths you shared include:
Many of you highlighted the overall condition of the facility and especially the clean, well-maintained water, which we’re committed to maintaining.
Our team received high praise for being friendly, professional, and supportive, with specific appreciation for swim instructors, lifeguards and coaches.
This continues to be one of our most valued features—especially for seniors, therapy use, and young swimmers building confidence.
Programs like swim team, water polo, and seasonal activities are clearly important to families and are a key part of our community impact.
Many of you described Sonoma Splash as a place where people of all ages feel comfortable, connected, and supported.
You also gave us helpful feedback about where we can do better. These are areas we are actively reviewing:
This was the most common concern. We are working with our School District partner to improve cleaning frequency and facility upkeep.
We heard concerns about slip hazards, and we are adding more floor mats to better address these issues.
Some users noted that the pool can feel too cold at times. We will work with the School District to monitor and try to maintain consistent temperatures in the 78-80 degree range.
Feedback highlighted challenges with limited hours and crowded lap swim times, especially for those with work schedules. As a community pool serving our many users across different programs, this is one of our biggest challenges. In addition, high school PE and water sports always have first priority on pool usage. We’re constantly balancing priorities and looking for opportunities to improve our scheduling.
Some community members expressed interest in more flexible options, such as multi-visit passes or lower-cost alternatives. We are currently reviewing our pricing structure, and hope to be able to provide some additional options this year. And for those individuals or families that cannot afford a pass or program, we offer financial aid whenever possible. Our goal is to make sure cost is not a barrier to participation at the pool.
We heard that our website and schedule updates can be improved, and we’re working to provide clearer, more up-to-date information.
We are carefully reviewing all feedback and using it to help guide priorities, improvements, and future planning. Some changes will take time, but your input is already helping shape our next steps.
To make it easier to continue sharing feedback, we’ve also added QR codes throughout the facility so you can quickly let us know about your experience anytime you visit.
